Escrow is a valuable asset held by a third party to secure a transaction between two parties.

This gives buyers of cryptocurrency like Bitcoin the confidence to send cash payments to unknown sellers. As long as the buyer can prove payment was sent and instructions were followed per the trade terms, they should be awarded escrow in a dispute.

TrustedCoinTrades goes a step further with dual escrow. Unfortunately, many cash payment methods, including bank cash deposits, are reversible for a period of time, leaving sellers vulnerable to fraud. With dual escrow buyers can also place a percentage of the trade value into escrow. In this way sellers can confidently wait a sufficient amount of time for transferred funds to settle while buyers receive their bought coins immediately.

Escrow is held in Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) or Litecoin (LTC) for the USD equivalent value of the trade.
